Email Deliverability Lead (Specialist IC)

Team Mission
Our Lifecycle & Growth Ops team reactivates dormant revenue safely. We design isolated sending environments, enforce authentication, and monitor risk signals aligned with the latest Gmail/Yahoo bulk-sender rules (SPF/DKIM/DMARC, one-click unsubscribe, and spam complaints well below the 0.3% ceiling).
Key Responsibilities
- Architect isolated sending stacks (subdomains, IP pools) for higher-variance traffic; enforce DNS/rDNS and TLS hygiene.
- Own authentication posture across all domains: SPF, DKIM, DMARC at enforcement; roll out BIMI after stability
- Build provider-specific warmups and volume ramps (Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook) with hard guardrails on complaints and bounces; never exceed safe weekly step-ups.
- Monitor Gmail Postmaster Tools and Yahoo Complaint Feedback Loop daily; trigger freeze/rollback playbooks when metrics drift
- Run inbox placement/seed testing (e.g., Validity Everest, GlockApps) and report by provider, segment, and region.
- Integrate list-validation APIs (ZeroBounce/NeverBounce) at ingestion; maintain complaint-based and inactivity-based suppression rules.
- Partner with Engineering to tag campaigns for root-cause analysis (ISP, cohort, cadence) and to automate anomaly alerts.
- Coach marketers on inbox-safe sending: cadence, segmentation, and List-Unsubscribe (one-click) compliance.
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on with Amazon SES, SendGrid, or Mailgun plus DNS/rDNS and SMTP fundamentals.
- Daily ops with Gmail Postmaster + Yahoo CFL and proven remediation playbooks.
- Authentication expertise: SPF, DKIM, DMARC (p=quarantine/reject); BIMI readiness.
- Seed testing/inbox placement tools (Everest/Validity, GlockApps) and hygiene automation.
- Strong SQL/BI for segmentation and provider-specific ramping.
- Comfort owning thresholds: target <0.1% spam; never cross 0.3%.
Nice-to-Haves
- MTA concepts: throttling, concurrency, per-minute rate control.
- MTA-STS/TLS posture and BIMI SVG/VMG workflow.
- AI-assisted log parsing / anomaly detection.
- Experience building or maintaining seed inbox networks.
